One of the top performance bulls this year with the 2nd highest adjusted weaning weight bull and top yearling weight bull. Respectable calving ease, growth, maternal, and end product numbers. An Honor sired bull with ranking 60 percent in docility. With his docile dam and his own disposition I would rank him a lot higher in that DNA category.

An excellent numbered bull. Fourteen EPDs ranking in top 25% or better. His maternal brother last year was the $9000, 2nd highest in the 2024 sale. Cow family carries the docility gene for many generations. Dam as a 3 year old has brought in the herd building kind both years.

We had 4 spring born siblings and 2 fall born age advantaged 2023 siblings out of H78 donor. LBR Honey Special H78 produced 47 embryos in the flush to Honor. This 6.4 frame sib should sire those long growthy pound making calves. Honor is ABS’s four star calving ease and 3 star carcass merit sire along with power, muscle shape, depth, and softness. These genetics should offer females with top stayability and maternal soundness

The top 1444 lb. yearling weight sibling. Every one of these sibs have high marbling EPDs with end product value. Looks like this one to be the highest growth bull of the flush this year.

Look for this sibling to be very similar in type and quality to Lots 3 & 4. With the genomic enhanced EPDs on all our bulls it should give confidence in predictability. The EPDs on these siblings are strong breed improvers in calving ease, MCE, stayability, carcass weight, marbling, API, and TI.

M774 with a 76# birth weight and breed improving EPD numbers it would make him my pick for the easiest calving sib. Stayability and marbling and end product value are positive for breeding excellence.

L13 and L25 were raised by a cooperator herd. The adjusted weaning weights are much lower than the spring sibs. We believe the same quality genetics are still there. I would go by the genomic enhanced EPDs which are more reliable than their actual performance.

With this bulls 404# adjusted weaning weight it might lead you to wonder about this one. He was raised on a two year old heifer that didn’t milk very well. His EPDs have more positive numbers than any of the other siblings. He could very likely be the sleeper of the group

Here is a real sound deep sided meat wagon. His dam A301 is a 12 year old with sound hoof quality and perfect udder which goes along with her top 1% of breed for stayability. She has produced five bulls that were the keeping kind. Genesis has really worked on her. Where she is weak, Genesis is very strong. It makes for balanced trait selection. Eye appealing, soundness, and fleshing ability. Could be that go to Purebred Sire.

This Genesis sired bull caught my eye early in the spring. I thought I should keep this one for our own herd bull. We reconsidered with the hope of finding a outcross bull. M761 has the thickness carrying down deep in his rear quarter, wide top line, added heart girth and refinement in his neck. Very attractive head showing his masculinity and balance from front to rear. He could be that Genesis sired calving ease son with great stayability, docility, carcass weight, marbling, API and TI.

M936 has great EPDs with 15 at 35% or better. A full bodied 66 lb. birth weight calving ease sire that still exhibits genetics to grow. We might be interested in collecting the bull for in herd use. Excellent genetic profile with outcross pedigree on dam’s side.

Bull’s phenotype and numbers tell the story. He is the longest, tallest, and performance Genesis son. With a big scrotal, 4.54 average daily gain, 802# adjusted 205, 1517 adjusted yearling, he is impressive.

M811 is carrying on the tradition. His sire, Arrowhead is ABS’s rising star as a 4 star calving ease and 3 star carcass merit bull. Arrowhead is noted for siring thick and massive Sim/Angus and his Angus pedigree is known for calving ease, fleshing ability and udder quality. M811’s 205 weaning ratio was 107 and his yearling ratio was 103.

This Arrowhead sired bull is out of a two year old embryo transplant cow. Check out his great EPD numbers.

The maternal sire and grand sire have sired shorter framed cattle for us. However the 2 year old K261 is a 6.1 frame cow. The pedigree is noted for maternal excellence and acceptance. Check out this bulls EPDs with all better than 50%.

A long sided bull with most EPD numbers above average.

M126’s sire, Bold Ruler, was added to our Reference Sires last year. Progeny were very docile with above average growth. For a 79# birth weight calving ease bull he has done well above the average for performance with 4.47# daily gain for the first 81 days on feed earning him a 1462 yearling adjusted weight. Weaning 205 index was 102 and yearling index 106. He carries true to his docility score of top 1% of breed with a gentle disposition. Look at his great numbers for stayability, calving ease, marbling, API and TI.

A Bold Ruler sired bull that has tied for top gaining bull on test with 4.59# daily gain. Born little and grow fast would apply to this bull. With CE EPDs in top 1%, BW 2%, MCE 1%, stayability 1%, docility 10%, Marbling 2%, API 1% and TI 10% makes breeding quality a reality for breed improving genetics.

L404 sold for $7500 in last year’s sale. He didn’t semen test when delivery began. Vet determined he probably seen a little cold weather. We used him on a limited number in our own herd. We guarantee him to be free from all transmittable diseases. M404’s ultrasound last year showed him to have the largest rib eye with a 15.6. All his EPDs are 50% or above.

This bull stepped on something while at our last years sale and started to favor his one leg. We kept him and used him very little. WE guarantee him to be free of all transmittable deseases. This bull would be one of my favorites. Docility with that extra growth and carcass merit. M61 has indexed 107 weaning and 105 yearling weight. Expect long sided pound making progeny that you will love being around. The Herdbook cattle have proven to be very docile.

Great growth would describe this ET bull. He had a 205 adjusted weight of 835# to top all our bulls. Continued to perform with 4.27 average daily gain giving him 1507# adjusted yearling. The Speak Now Sired cattle have had more birth weight, growth and docility.

This will be the last one out of the A305 donor cow. We flushed her to Cowboy Cut several years back and loved the docile females which milk plenty and produce sound, functional, cow making progeny. Cowboy Cut has proven through many years to sire breed increasing quality in females. Many breed leading foundation bulls go back to Cowboy Cut such as Genesis, Proclamation, Bold Ruler, and Speak Now.

Proclamation is recognized as Cowboy Cut’s well tested son. Females excel in udder and stayability with progeny weaning and performance near top of the breed. Breed improving cattle at every turn. M764 is a wide based son of Proclamation, gained 4.52# on feed which is very respectable for only feeding 10# bull developing concentrate.

Youngest bull in the sale. His dam is long sided with a little extra frame and very docile.

A Hilger sired growth bull indexing 108 with a adjusted 205 weaning weight of 804; and indexing 105 on yearling weight of 1470. Extra performance with maternal strength go along with his calm disposition that is second to none. This bull’s dam will be in the female sale as Lot 72, This will leave only one red female in our herd after selling 2 red cows and 2 open heifers in the female offering.

Last years bull out of M130’s dam was the top seller at $10,500. This one would be the cow making kind with his strong maternal values.

Selection high lights here would be growth, maternal, marbling, API and Ti. This bull was a twin. Average daily gain on spring born bulls for 81 days was an average of 4.08#. M118 came in with 4.28# daily gain. Platte River females have udder quality with plenty of milk.

This Platte River sired bull is definitely got the docility with 1% ranking. The M929 red bull would be my first pick docile bull and M129 would be the 2nd pick. He has gained better than expected with 4.49# average daily gain which gives him a adjusted yearling of 1428#.

Outcross sire to most popular lines on the sire’s pedigree. Calving ease, maternal, docile breeding. Dam to this bull would be my favorite Cowboy Cut cow.
